We are Bowery, a family filming production team - Joanna, Don, Oscar and Betty.

I started my career in the news room of STV as an on-screen reporter. After making the decision to become a programme maker I moved to London to work for GMTV, moving on to producing a wide range of programmes and documentaries for BBC1, BBC2, BBC4, ITV and Channel 4.

My favourite programmes have involved travelling across America with Russell Brand; filming in South Africa with acclaimed photographer Rankin; an ITV prime time series with Tess Daly; travelling throughout Eastern Europe with Kirsty Wark and working on the award winning “I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here” (which it is still my guilty pleasure to watch!!).

After I had my little boy Oscar in 2010 I gave up my staff job at the BBC to start Bowery Productions and in 2015 little Betty was born and joined our Bowery Productions team!

Things I love… Betty, Oscar, Don, Mad Men, Yoga, Malt Whisky, Gregory’s Girl, the East Village especially the Bowery in New York, books, shoes, friends, gigs, eating out and filming.

When Jo started Bowery she asked me to tag along for the first wedding to ‘carry her bags’. She promised she would find a second shooter to work with her - five years later I’m still doing it and still loving it.

When I’m not out filming at beautiful locations across Scotland and beyond, I divide my time between being a voice-over artist, a course facilitator, a director and an actor.

You can hear me every 15 minutes on either STV, where I’m a continuity announcer or on BBC Radio Scotland, trailing what’s coming up next. I trained at LAMDA in London, so acting wise I’ve been in lots of different things, including different adverts, theatre productions and TV shows which include Casualty, Spooks and River City.

I really love filming weddings. It is so much fun to be part of the most special day of peoples' lives and Jo has finally admitted I am an essential part of team Bowery!

Things I love… The mighty East Fife, Berlin, red wine, films, toblerone, running, Radio 5 live, sushi, and last but definitely not least my mad family.
